      Timeline
      • Resolved

Following recent remedial action, monitoring has confirmed that the performance issue affecting one of the application servers has now been resolved. System performance has returned to normal operational levels.

No further action is required at this time. We will continue to monitor the service as part of our routine processes.

      • Monitoring

The IIS service on the affected App Server has now been successfully restarted. We are currently monitoring the system to ensure performance returns to expected levels.

We will continue to observe the situation and share any further updates as necessary.

      • Identified

We have received approval from the national team to proceed with the next steps regarding the issue on the affected App Server.

We have identified that the IIS service on this server is not responding as expected. To address this, we plan to restart the service. Please note that this action may cause a brief increase in load on the remaining application server, which could result in a short-term impact on performance.

Once the restart is complete, performance should return to expected levels.

We will monitor the situation closely and provide a further update once the work has been completed.

      • Investigating

We have identified that one of the App Servers is currently experiencing significantly higher response times than expected. An investigation is underway to determine the root cause of the issue.

          Update from Patchs Health

Patchs - Performance Issue Resolved Starting at 8am this morning we identified that Patchs was running slowly and in some cases not loading. After investigating the issue in detail we have implemented a fix to resolve the issue and normal performance should now be restored. While we previously reported a much higher volume of requests than usual post a Bank Holiday, Patchs was already prepared for this and it was not the direct cause of the issue. Instead, the higher than usual number of requests uncovered a performance bottleneck with a database query which had not been seen previously. We have now fixed the bottleneck and are checking for anything similar that could cause issues in future. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and want to assure you that addressing these issues are our highest priority. We are committed to ensuring this does not recur and appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance Patchs.

Kind regards Your Patchs Health Team
