Accenture have now confirmed the certificate has been renewed for send.nhs.net.
Our support team will start the process of reverting back to previous configuration and test.
Please note this did not affect customers in Scotland as mail is configured differently.
Only customers who were configured with an NHS.net account sending via send.nhs.net were affected
NHS Mail Accenture certificate for send.nhs.net expired, they have not at this time renewed that but have advised of a workaround to use smtp.office365.com.
Initial tests show this has worked.
We are currently in the process of updating this setting in clients in the interim
